This Elegant Handmade Happy Birthday Card was one of the first cards made using new mini catalog products.  Today's card uses a new-to-me bundle Delightful Wishes.  You can make quick and simple cards with this bundle or layered and elegant cards like the one in today's post.

The Card

Here's a picture of the card we're making and the stamp set used to create most of the images.  It's perfect when one stamp set and bundle of dies come together to make a great card.

Here's the card outside (above) and inside (below).  Even when you're not adding a greeting to the inside, it's nice to add a little stamping to tie it all together.

Let's Make It

Now let's make this elegant birthday card.  If you're a crafter that likes to copy exactly down to the 1/8″ I've included the dimensions below as well.

  1. Fold and burnish the score line for the Lemon Lolly card base
  2. Stamp the “wishing” and happy birthday greeting on scrap Lemon Lolly
  3. Add some Adhesive Sheet behind the stamped “wishing”
  4. Crop the greetings with their coordinating dies
  5. Stamp the multi-flower stamp in Lemon Lolly and Crushed Curry  on scrap Basic White and crop with coordinating die.
  6. Crop the flowers twice more without stamping – you'll use these for layering
  7. Add the designer paper layer to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  8. Stamp the stem in Pecan Pie and leaves in Old Olive on the far left of the Basic White layer
  9. Add the Basic White layer using Stampin' Dimensionals
  10. Stack and glue all the stamped & cropped flowers on a matching cropped white flower
  11. Stack and glue 3 – 4 flowers on an additional matching cropped white flower
  12. Add all the flowers onto the stamped stem and leaf images
  13. Peel away the release paper from the “wishing” add some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the “wishing” die cut

This was such a fun card to put together.  I used the paper for color inspiration – then I used some images in the catalog to position all the stamped images.  Leave a comment if you plan to give this a try!
