Time to get your Halloween Mojo on! This is the first of many Halloween cards and projects I will share with you in the next two weeks. This was quick and easy to make using a great Halloween Color Scheme:
In about a month you will need to be organized for Halloween. In the next two weeks I will share candy holders you can give as gifts or classroom treats, more cards and Halloween Holders that you can use for non-sweet items. I know many of you have restrictions on what sorts of treats you can send to school or give at a party. Be sure to watch for ideas that should help out!
For this card I started with a Tangerine Tango card and then layered on Basic Black just to make the other layers “pop”. The Smoky Slate is embossed with the Spooky Spider embossing folder (retired) – you could easily substitute any of the stripe embossing folders we currently have. I layered that with a 3 1/2″ square of Tangerine Tango that has the greeting and a double flag of washi tape. The white lines with the Uniball Gel Pen add more contrast between the black tape and white/orange wording.
TIP: In order to cut the flag ends easily, I wrapped the washi tape around a scrap piece of black card stock to make it stiffer and easier to cut.
