Participating in sketch challenges is a lot of fun! This was my submission last week in the Mojo Monday sketch contest.
I created this card to send well wishes to whoever may need them. I have to admit the color combination happened quite by accident! These three colors were stacked together on my stamping table when I was cleaning up from another project. I just decided that they looked good together. I thought they gave off a soothing vibe and could be sent to anyone who needed a little lift!
The card is a square card with the base measuring 4 1/4″ by 8 1/2″. The second layer measures 4″ by 4″ and the embossed layer measures 3 3/4″ by 3 3/4″. I used the Mosaic embossing folder on the white square layer. I wrapped all those layers in Brown Sugar Ruffled Ribbon.
The focal point of the card is stamped from the Tag It stamp set. I used the Oval Framelits to cut out the frames. The hearts are from the Small Heart and Owl Builder punches. The card needed just a little pop – that’s when I added the pearl in the top corner of the larger punch.
TIP: In order to stick the smaller hearts I squished up a mini glue dot. This way they had a little lift on the card and the glue dot doesn’t show!
Check back tomorrow for a few other versions of this card…
