Easy Events is such a great stamp set to turn to! This simple Valentine Card was a big hit the the Private Valentine Card Class on Saturday. We used a three simple tips/techniques and voila! A beautiful card!
QUICK TIP: For the banner I measured the width to be 1 1/2" wide. Then we used the 1 1/4" square punch to take a bit out of the end. When the paper is just a little wider than the punch it makes it really easy. I also cut the strips WAY too long for the card so that everyone had a few chances with the punch to be happy!
STAMPING TECHNIQUE: We used Stampin' Markers to make the multiple colors on the one stamp. When you do this it's best to put the darkest color that covers the most first. We started with Garden Green for the tree and grass. Then we used the Early Espresso for the trunk. We finished with Real Red for the heart and greeting.
QUICK PIERCING: For the final accent we did just a little paper piercing in the corners of the top white later. I like the look of just the corner and two holes to each side. Not too much, but just enough to get the effect.
