This is one of the cards we made at a Private Valentine Card Class on Saturday! It was lots of fun – each guest and the hostess make four cards. Everyone learned a little and shared a lot! One of the hostess' requests was a card for the man in your life. I think this fit the bill!
I used blues and vanilla for most of the card and them popped it up with the Red Glimmer Paper heart.
QUICK TIP: For most of this card we put it together with Snail Adhesive. For the layers touching the Glimmer Paper we used Glue Dots. They are much stronger and you need that. The back of the Glimmer Paper is almost like plastic and the front is so full of glitter that you need something strong to create layers with it.
GO WITH YOUR GUT: For this card I used the Tea for Two Designer Series paper. If you look in the Spring Catalog you'll see that the blue in the paper is Pool Party. When I was putting the card together I thought Baja Breeze just went better. There are many patterns in the pack that have a sprinkling of blue and Pool Party is perfect, but for this card I wanted it to be a little more subtle and muted so I went with Baja Breeze. I think it worked out fine. What do you think?
