Quick Thanks Card with Bright Summer Colors

Today's card features on of my favorite stamp sets – Simply Said. It actually has much longer name, but you get the point and can click on the link to check it out.

For this card I could have easily placed the layered greeting right in the center, but here's what happened when I looked at it that way versus the way you're seeing it. That beautiful DSP didn't shine like it does on the final card. Many times you'll find if you move the greeting to one side or another of your card, the DSP will be more prominent.

THOUGHTS ON CUTTING

In order to end up with least amount of scrap I did this:

  • I used one large-ish piece of Basic White and stamped four greetings on it spaced to be cut with the rectangle die. The piece I used was just about a full quarter sheet of card stock.
  • Before I attached the Berry Burst layer to the card I die cut the circle for that card.

CUTTING YOUR LAYERS

  • Peach Pie Card Base – 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
  • Berry Burst – 5 1/4″ by 4″
  • Unbound Beauty Designer Series Paper – 3 1/2″ by 4 3/4″
  • 1/4 Sheet Basic White for greeting (makes enough for four cards)

ASSEMBLING YOUR CARD

1. Stamp the greeting as many times as possible on your Basic White scrap – be sure to leave spacing for the rectangle die
2. Die cut the white rectangles, Peach Pie rectangles and Berry Burst circle
3. Glue all three layers of the greeting together
4. Attach the Berry Burst and DSP to the card base with Liquid Glue
5. Attach the layered greeting to the lower center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals
6. Add a few Iridescent Pearls for a “pop”
