Alphabet Dies fill gaps when you don't have a stamp for a special occasion. In this post we're using Alphabet Dies to Use the Eclipse Technique for a Personalized Handmade Card. You'll also see we used designer series paper to finish this card up quickly.
The Card
I made this card for my friend Carla when she was leaving her coaching position at Orangetheory Fitness. I wanted something one-of-a-kind and didn't just want to make a “miss you” type card. I saved that sentiment for a handwritten note inside.

The Supplies
If you like this project – here are all the supplies used. Simply click on an image to shop in my Stampin' Up! Store.
In addition to the Stampin' Up! products I also used:
- ruler
- painter's tape

Let's Make It
Now let's make this special card. You can use these directions for any words you want to add to a card.
- Fold and burnish the score line for the Basic White card base
- Lay the letters for your word on the Grid Paper to make sure they are spaced evenly
- Place a ruler below the word and move it up so all the letters are touching it and it's aligned to the grid paper
- Remove some of the tack from your painter's tape by tapping it on your clothing
- Lay the painter's tap across all the letters and pull them up to use in the Stampin' Emboss Mini Machine
- Place a strip of Adhesive Sheet on the back side of the Bokeh paper – be sure it covers the whole space where your word will be
- Die cut the Bokeh paper with the taped letters and set them aside
- Die cut three more sets of the letters using Basic White card stock and Adhesive Sheets
- Use Stampin' Seal to attach the Bokeh paper layer to the card base
- Create the stacked letters with the card stock and Bokeh paper
- Set each letter in the space created when you die cut the word from the Bokeh paper
- Add jewels all around the word
