Today we are making a simple handmade thank you twist card. You might think from the name that it's a complicated fun-fold, but truly it's a fun, easy way to assemble your layers.

The Card
Here's the card we're making today. See how twisting the layers allows for more of the middle layer to show up? Since this embossing folder pattern is so beautiful, I wanted to showcase it as much as possible.

The Supplies
Next, let's review the supplies used to make this project. I don't often include the “suite” in my project listing, but if you like what you see then the suite makes for easy ordering.
Let's Make It
Now let's make this simple card for the holidays to celebrate the season. If you're a crafter that likes to copy exactly down to the 1/8″ I've included the dimensions below as well.
- Stamp greeting on Basic White scrap and punch out with Heartfelt Hexagon punch.
- Place a few drops of Poppy Parade Ink Refill on a waterproof surface such as an acrylic block. Add a little water and swirl with paint brush. Splatter on greeting and set aside to dry.
- Die emboss Basic Beige layer with So Swirly Embossing Folder.
- Stamp flower, heart and star stamps in a random pattern using Basic Beige ink pad on Basic White layer.
- Adhere the Basic Beige layer and Stamped Basic White layer to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Be sure to twist the two layers to expose as much as possible of each.
- Add the greeting to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here's a close-up look at the splatter on the greeting. This splatter adds some more interest to your card. And, true confession, it also covers up mistakes you may make when stamping with a juicy ink pad.

Your Turn
I hope you like the layout of this card as well as this new beautiful color – Basic Beige. I didn't work with it that much in 2024, but I know you will see it more and more in 2025.
