You can make a quick and easy happy birthday card with just a few things. In order to add lots of color and interest quickly I turn to Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers (12 by 12 papers). I used the color palette of the pattern I choose to dictate the other colors in the card. With this particular design I didn't even use stamps. Gasp! Ok – now that we got that out of the way, let's move on to the fun part of putting this one together.
I ran the die through the Big Shot with Whisper White layered on Multipurpose Adhesive sheets three times. Then I layered all of them together. Attached this to the 5 1/4″ by 4″ piece of Broadway Specialty Paper. Then I ran a piece of Basic Black through the big shot and only used the “extras” on this card. By inserting them into the white died words they popped off the card instead of being drowned out by the busy pattern of the paper.
Once I had this black cut-out I couldn't stop. I cut out more in black, white and my new favorite Gray Granite. Then I made the cards shown above. I created multiple layouts using the colors in the Broadway Specialty paper.
Thanks for stopping by today! Let me know if you try out this layout and how it goes for you!
