This quick card uses just ink, stamps and scraps! I'm sure there are lots of ideas for embellishments, but I liked the look and wanted to sop before it got the “eyebrow syndrome”. Do you know what that is? When you're grooming your own eyebrows and you just pluck one more and then one more on the other side and then – disaster! Maybe you can't relate, but my teenage self sure can:) Leave me a comment if you CAN relate or at least show me some empathy.
This card came together very quickly. The Into the Woods Designer Series Paper layers are both 2″ by 4″ and they are layered on 2 1/4″ by 4 1/4″. When I placed them on the card I just eyeballed the top right corner to make sure there was the same space on the top and left. Then I repeated that for the lower right with the orange layered piece. At first I tried layering the acorn on a scalloped circle punched piece, but the scallops were fighting with all the clean lines of the layers. When I changed it to a 2″ circle all was well. I am finding myself using the Washi Label punch quite a lot. I think this has become a staple of my card designs.
