A dozen in just 30 minutes – stuffed and ready to distribute! The new Gift Card Holder Framelit makes this possible. I had to make a dozen of these and as usual put it off until the last minute. Well, truth be told I needed them by dinnertime and was finished before lunch, but I knew about it for quite awhile. Trumbull High School held their 9th Annual Underage Drinking Forum last week and one of my jobs was to create gift card holders for the gift cards we give to all the presenters.
I think this is one handy tool that I will hold onto long after it retires. All you need is piece of 7 1/4″ by 6 1/2″ paper (card stock, designer series, gift wrap or even heavy copy paper). When you run it through the Big Shot it not only cuts around the edges, but it scores the center. Then you just fold and glue – voila!
For the closer on the gift card holder I used made a paper button and attached it to the back of the holder with glue dots. I created my paper button using the 1″ Circle Punch. First I embossed the card stock and then I punched out the circles.
Then all you have to do is slip the gift card in and fold the flap under the button!
