Happy Monday! Another week and lots to do – what about you? Do you have a busy week ahead? If getting your holiday cards done is on your list – this could be the answer. This is a quick card made with just one stamp set and a few supplies. If you're sending lots of cards you could easily substitute the Designer Series Paper for another stamped image from the Christmas Bliss stamp set.
This card came together easily by following the Mojo Monday sketch. I like working with sketches because it takes thinking about the layout out of the equation. I just need to decide quick or complicated, lots of stamps and embellishments or few, clean and simple. For this card I kept it quick, clean and simple.
The elements tie together with the simple color pallet of Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White. The patterns tied together by using the On Point Textured Embossing Folder which coordinates with the piece of All is Calm Designer Series Paper. All the Cherry Cobbler elements tie the top two layers together. You could also leave off the Rhinestone Jewels on this card if you wanted to mass produce it faster. For an economical option you could use the Rhinestone Jewels, but alternate the sizes and amount of jewels used on each card.
One other alteration you could make without changing the basic look of this card. Use the 2″ circle punch for the greeting. I used the Circle Framelits as shown in the Supply List below. I don't have the 2″ punch – yet – and found that this particular circle fit nicely around the greeting and still inside the scallop circle punch.
