Playing with coordinating papers can be fun! The ladies at the February Stamp Class sure thought so! This is one of the cards we made. Everyone who attended got a package of Designer Builder Brads along with a blank journal to make this great journal project. For this card all the papers were cut to 5 1/4" wide. The bottom layer was cut at 4", the middle at 2 3/4" and the top layer at 1 1/4". Then I attached all these layers together, but kept them separate from the card. I wrapped the Pool Party ribbon around the papers and tied the knot.
For the dangling charm I used one of the Designer Builder Brads. I opened the brad and snipped off the legs with Craft & Rubber scissors. You might need to fold down a little leftover metal with your bone folder for the charm to be completely flat. For the center, I stamped the butterfly from Itty Bitties in Raspberry ink and then punched it out. I attached it to the brad with a glue dot and then put the clear cover on the brad. Then I used a little bit of Pool Party Baker's Twine to attache the charm around the knot of the ribbon.
The last step was to attach it all to the card and voila! A card was born…
