Stampin’ Up! Happy New Year

I loved this Single Stamp when I saw it.  I even envisioned it in these colors!  Hot-pink and Black just scream New Year's to me!  Not sure how long this stamp will be available after the January testing of Single Stamps so if you like it as much as I did be sure to hop over to my Stampin' Up! To make the "3" on this card really pop I stamped it on white cardstock, but it out and put a thin strip of dimensionals (from those half ones that hang out on the edge of the sheets) behind the glass.  

I added a little more shimmer to the card by stamping the happy new year stamp over and over again with the Illuminate Glitter Watermark stamp.  Did you know that Stampin' Up! is carrying this forward during the rest of the catalog year?  I can't show you all of them until January 3 – but there are some goodies and this pad is one of them!

At this busy time of year, simple is better, so those two steps pretty much made the card.  I just layered the black on a white card and then popped up the center stamped image with a rectangle of Melon Mambo.

We are hosting New Year's this year and I saw a really cute wall decoration to celebrate that I'm going to try to recreate with Stampin' Up! supplies.  I will take a picture and show you over the weekend if it comes out.
