masked stencils and bold dies

Take the Card Quiz – What's Staying and What's Going?  This card features products that are staying and products that are leaving.  Some will be gone in May while another lasts through June.  Can you guess the answers?  If you keep reading I will fill you in.  If you can't wait – check this post that shows all the Annual Catalog products that are exiting on May 2.

Before we get to those – what do you think about the background for this card?  I used two different Stampin' Up! masks (stencils) and just one ink pad.  To make this background you'll need to:

  1.  Tape the geometric decorative mask (stencil) to a piece of Basic White card stock that is at least 6″ by 6″
  2. Tape the flower stencil over the first one
  3. Using a Blending Brush add Early Espresso ink to the card stock
  4. Remove just the flower stencil
  5. Without reinking your Blending Brush add a light layer of Early Espresso ink over the geometric decorative mask
  6. Remove the geometric mask and cut the card stock down to 5″ by 3 3/4″
