Today's project is a Quick Three Paper Strip Christmas Card. You can use this pattern to create any card for any occasion. One of the best things about this card is that it will help use up your scraps – something we all have a lot of. I added some tips in the “Your Turn” section of this post for ways to vary the three scraps shown in this card. Let me know in the comments if those tips help.
The Supplies
Next, let's review the supplies used to make this project. You'll see a very short list ahead. Again, trying to keep with the quick and easy style of card.
Let's Make It
With just a few supplies the card should come together quickly.
- Fold and burnish the score line for the card base
- Stamp the greeting and “Season's Greetings” on some Basic White scrap
- Die cut the greeting with the third largest rectangle die
- Glue the strips of Iconis Celebrations paper to the Misty Moonlight layer – trim to be flush with the top and bottom of the card stock
- Glue the Misty Moonlight Layer to the center of the card base
- Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the greeting to the card front
- Add a few clear Boho Blue dots to the card front – at least one on the greeting
If you're planning to mass produce this project you're going to want to follow these steps:
- Cut all the layers and paper strips
- Fold and burnish the card bases
- Stamp and die cut all the greetings
- Assemble in batches:
- Attach the paper strips and cut the ends
- Attach the Misty Moonlight layer to the card base
- Attach the greeting to the card front
- Add dots for some bling
Your Turn
You can consider so many changes when using this card design. Maybe change the strips to be embossed card stock. You can also use coordinating strips that bring a variety of color to your card. Consider using card stock as the strips and designer series paper as the layer they're attached to. Go wild with the bling or change it up to a bow or some twine. Leave a comment with your ideas!
