Today's project is a Quick Missing Corner Holiday Card. Once you see how simple it was to make this layout you'll be hooked on using it again and again. Let me know if you have a layout that you use all the time. I love reading the comments!
The Supplies
Next, let's review the supplies used to make this project. You'll see a very short list ahead. Again, trying to keep with the quick and easy style of card.
The Dimensions
I'm giving you the dimensions for the products used in this card. Remember that the “missing corner” is just an arbitrary slice so these dimensions are based on the largest size of scraps you will need to make the upper and lower portions of the rectangle layer.
- Card Base: 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
- Computer Paper: 5″ by 3 3/4″ Yep! This makes the guide you need to make the layer of your card.
- Iconic Celebrations Paper: 5″ by 3 3/4″
- Moody Mauve Card Stock: 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″
- Silver Foil: 1/8″ strip at least 5″
- Basic White scrap – for die cutting greeting
Let's Make It
With just a few supplies the card should come together quickly.
- Fold and burnish the score line for the card base
- Stamp the greeting and “Happy Holidays” on some Basic White scrap
- Die cut the greeting with the third largest rectangle die
- Make a diagonal cut from the right side to bottom of the Iconic Celebrations paper
- Glue this paper to the computer paper
- Glue the silver foil and Moody Mauve card stock to exposed computer paper
- Cut away the excess silver foil and card stock and glue the layer to the card base
- Wrap your silver foil around 3 – 4 finger three times. Tape this circle to the back of the greeting making sure both ends are hidden from the front
- Add the greeting to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals
