quick coffee card with press on

Today I'm excited to share this quick coffee card using Press On.  In just a couple of days this stamp set will be retired.  I've gotten a LOT of use out of it and will be sharing a few projects that I still have to post before it's gone.

QUICK REMINDER:  The next Paper Share will close in just a couple of days.  You can get on the list here and then order your paper share.  This is done in compliance with Stampin' Up! rules – sorry for the extra step.  The papers in this next catalog are gorgeous and you won't want to miss out!

Ok – onto today's card.  This is a simple card using Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock.  I combined both coloring with Blends and the paper piecing technique on this card.  This layout is super simple too – combining a short fat rectangle on top and a long skinny rectangle on the bottom.

Here are the layering measurements:

  • First Layer – Mossy Meadow  8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″
  • Second Layer – Mossy Meadow 5 1/4″ by 4″
  • Third Layer – Pretty Peacock 3 1/2″ by 3 1/4″ (top); 3 1/4″ by 1 1/2″ (bottom)
  • Forth Layer – Whisper White (top) 3 1/4″ by 3″ ; 3″ by 1 1/4″ (bottom)

Quick Tips:

  1. When you stamp the images on white card stock, stamp  an extra on the paper to fussy cut the center of the large coffee cup
  2. Use only the light Pretty Peacock Blend – the dark is a little too much with the Mossy Meadow
  3. Use only the fine tip points of the Blends for the detailed coloring on the bottom rectangle

The Holiday Rhinestone Jewels in Coastal Cabana fit and coordinated nicely with the Mossy Meadow and Light Pretty Peacock of the large coffee cup.
