Happy St. Patrick's Day from Cucumber Crush!  That's right – this card features Cucumber Crush who will be leaving us in just a few short months.  You don't want to miss out on any of the great colors that will be retiring in May.  If the past in any indication of future events not all the products in those colors will even make it to May.  If you've been putting off getting that one pad or a refill for pads you have – this is your chance!

I got out of my comfort zone today with a watercolor wash and stack of accessories.  I saw a similar card from a demo friend of mine Kimberly and decided to give it a whirl.  Leave a comment and let me know what you think.  I like the watercolor wash – it's such an easy way to get a colorful background.  I will be trying this more in future projects.

Here are a few hints about this card you might not see right away:

  1.  The speckling stamp from Gorgeous Grunge created the splashes of color over the watercolor wash.  I stamped off twice on scratch paper before stamping on this layer.  Then I stamped a few times for different levels of color.
  2. Even though you only see one staple there are a few more holding all the accessories together behind the scenes.
  3. To add a little more interest to the card only the top and right margins from the layer to the card match.  The left is a little wider and the bottom is very wide to give Cucumber Crush a good view.

Here is the list of products used to create this project:
