Holly Berry Christmas Card

This Holly Berry Christmas card not only works for two fun challenges, but showcases those great new framelits that you can grab this month! For today's card the challenge is to combine two challenges and the new Stitched Shapes framelits. For this card the stitched oval is layered on a scalloped oval, but you can easily have these stitched layers stand on their own.

You've seen this stamp set a lot. The first thing that's wonderful about it is the builder punch that coordinates with it. The second feature are the layering stamps – and they are very forgiving. The third feature (and I'm sure there are more) are the images and words included.

This card combines the Fab Friday Sketch challenge and the Global Design Project color challenge.

Did you notice that the holly leaves are layered?  To create this effect you stamp the leaves on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then you punch them out with the Holly Berry Builder Punch.  Next you stamp the holly hock image on card stock cut out with the third-largest Stitched Oval Framelit (you can see the stamp image in THIS POST).  Finally you layer the leaves on the stamped image using Glue Dots.
