Do you organize and then reorganize things? Like scraps? tools? embellishments? Today I wanted to share my new way of organizing my scraps. I haven't changed my method in awhile – you can see the crate I used to use in this video.
Why did I change? I'm trying to move everything into smaller spaces. Right now I have a big basement but in a few years I will need to fit in a bedroom that may double as a guest room. This change gave me more counter space right now and consolidates all my paper supplies into my shelves.
My new organization uses a clear bag labeled with the color on top of the stack of unused card stock. My colors are grouped by color family and In Color – then alphabetical within those groups. I keep all my card stock in shelves from Stampin Storage. The book cases are from Ikea.
You can see that the book cases are tall (and I'm not)! To help with this I put the labels for the Brights and Subtles – which are located in the top bins of each case – on the underside of the clear bags. This way I can just look up and see which bag of scraps to check before I cut a whole piece of card stock.
Hope you liked this tip – leave me a comment and let me know how you organize your scraps!
I have a wonderful Online Class to share with everyone who places an online order of $25 or more this month. The only way I can share this class with you is if you allow me to see that you placed the order. If you are not sure about your settings check on this page to make sure your account allows me to see your order.
Local Stampers: Tomorrow is the last day to RSVP for the June Morning Stamp Class. Check out all my other events and RSVP as soon as possible!
