Happy Birthday! It may not be your birthday, but it certainly is someone’s and I bet this card would brighten their day. This card showcases some of the new birthday items available in the Occasions Catalog that you can start ordering from on January 6, 2015.
I followed the Mojo Monday sketch to make this card. It is one of their Tall and Skinny layouts. This card measures 4″ by 7″. You can use a standard greeting card envelope to mail it or create an envelope with or Envelope Board.
This card uses the new stamp set Celebrate Today, matching Balloon Framelit and the new Designer Series Paper Birthday Bash. I will show them off to you on January 6! To make the tassels for the balloon I used the Tangerine and White trim that will be available after January 6! Stampin’ Up! is carrying this item into the spring. To get this effect you just unroll the trim and bunch it back together.
Another one of my resolutions for 2015 is to have all my family birthday cards created by January 31, 2015. This doesn’t mean I won’t substitute another card later in the year, but at least I have my stash ready to go. Leave me a comment with one of your resolutions for 2015.
