Pictogram Punches is one of my go-to sets! In THIS POST asked last week what your favorite new Stampin' Up! products were. Some of us had the same things on our list and others completely different – that's the beauty of the diversity of our catalog. In THIS POST I announced the winners for the Blog Candy giveaway. I haven't heard from everyone so please email me your snail address so I can send out your gifts.
When I sat down to create this card I wanted a happy birthday card that I could send to my not-so-girly niece. She just turned 11! I thought switching the “flowers” to stars and using a more gender neutral color pallet would help. My two shapes for this card are stars and circles. You can see that I used two different embossing folders along with DSP to get the circles in. I punched the star “flowers” and added the star clip to complete the star look.
QUICK TIP: The Happy Birthday greeting has one dimensional under it on the left side and two under it on the right. This made it level on the card. When you're using layers that don't completely lay on one another you may need to play with your dimensionals this way to make sure your layers are balanced.
Do you still need a 2014-2015 Annual Catalog? I send honor requests for those catalogs every Monday. I will be sending another batch then so if you'd like to be included please fill out this QUICK FORM and I will send you one. If you already purchase from another demonstrator please contact her.
Designer Series Papers can be a great way to add lots of color to a card quickly. Use THIS HANDY GUIDE so you know exactly what colors you have in each package of papers.
New Email coming out today at 2PM eastern time. It includes new, updates and two FREE project sheets with cards from the new catalog that will NOT be shown on my blog or Facebook Page.
