The Herringbone Paper technique is a great way to showcase scrap designer series paper.   It's an easy technique and you just never know what you're going to have until you're done!  When I started cutting for this card I thought I would use Crisp Cantaloupe and Pool Party as the card stock colors.  But when I finished Summer Starfruit and Basic Black were the dominant colors in the pattern so I went with them.

One other important design tip when using this technique – keep it simple!  The technique itself provides pattern and color.  The rest of the elements of the card should simply compliment the technique and remain simple on their own.

QUICK TIP:  When creating the Herringbone pattern you use quite a bit of adhesive.  I like to create it on a non-stick mat like our Silicone Craft Sheet so that when I'm ready to pick it up I'm all set!
