Today's DIY greeting card showcases five of the FREE Sale-a-Bration 2014 items. I was on Facebook the other day and a card using this layout popped up in my news feed. I realized I haven't made a pocket card in ages! I detailed the steps below, but the bottom line is this is super easy to make. Remember we only have a few more weeks to Sale-a-Brate so make your choices today!
How to Create a Pocket Card
- Cut card stock to 4 1/4″ by 11″
- Score at 1″, 2 /34″, 5 1/2″
- Fold the card in half at the 5 1/2″ score line and turn so the fold it at the bottom – this makes your pocket
- Fold the front panel down at the 2 3/4″ score line – this reveals the top portion of the card
- Fold the new front panel back downs at the 1″ score line – this makes the decorative lip to the pocket

QUICK TIPS: I embossed the Basic Black tag with Pool Party Embossing Powder. In order to get a crisp, embossed look be sure to use the Embossing Buddy first so that the powder only sticks to the Versamark ink and not anywhere else on your card stock. It's very dry here so even following these guidelines I end up with a few stray specks of powder. I use a Paper Piercing Tool to wipe them away before heating the powder. Give it a try!
