by the tide collage technique stampingI love to collage stamp!  It just means stamping around everywhere with a mixture of stamps that seem to go together.  Then you add a subtle “background” that is usually the top layer of the stamping on the card.  That is what we did with this card at our May Stamp Class.

The next time we get together it will be for the June Catalog Kickoff!  This will be on Thursday, June 13 at 7:30pm at my home in Trumbull (06611).  To RSVP for this event you can go to my events page.

First, we loaded up the second largest Stampin’ Up! acrylic block with five stamps from the By the Tide set.  Then we inked them in Bermuda Bay (so happy this color is returning!) and stamped all the images at once on a scrap of River Rock cardstock (this, unfortunately will be gone very soon).  We repeated this process until the scrap was full of sea creatures.

Then we inked the En Francis stamp (NOT retiring) with River Rock ink (retiring) and stamped that over the top of the sea creatures.  There you have it – a beautiful note card.  Many class participants said they were going to leave their options open with this – they could add a quick “Happy Birthday” and give this to a guy, or just write a note and send it to anyone.

I am so excited to share the new catalog with everyone next Friday!  If you’d like your own personal copy, all you have to do is fill out this simple form, have a quick phone conversation to confirm details, and I will send it to you next week.  You will also have the opportunity to receive exclusive emails that I will only be sending to catalog owners during the upcoming catalog year.  Don’t miss out!
