Welcome to my stop along the hop! I was introduced to rubber stamping in the fall of 1999. My first favorite tool was the Stampin' Sponge and my first favorite technique was embossing! This stop showcases my evolution of embossing. This first card uses Cherry Cobbler embossing powder in a traditional way. I embossed the heart and love on Whisper White cardstock and then added a Bitty Button with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine for a little pop. The sponging gave it a distressed look, and hid a few errant specs of embossing powder:)
Along my stamping journey I turned once again to embossing. For quite awhile I kept turning back to the technqiue showcased in this card. Clear Embossing on Colored Cardstock found its way into many of my cards. I even did an entire swap for Stampin' Up! Convention using this technique. In this technique the embossed image "pops" off the project due to the texture of the embossing and the darker, complimentary color against the basic cardstock. In this card I added a Black Glimmer Brad to dress it up.
My final sample showcases the new Chalkboard embossing technique. Here you emboss an image in White Embossing Powder on Basic Black Cardstock. I added the left over eraser dust by rubbing my Embossing Buddy on the card after I finished embossing.
I hope you enjoyed my stroll down memory lane! You're off to Ingrid's Website now – enjoy!

Love the variations, but the chalkboard one is my fav!
Fantastic way to show the same card layout differently!! Love all of them especially the splattered look!!
