All too often we find the need for a sympathy card quickly. In my opinion these can be among the most appreciated cards – you just need to get them done and send them. This is where clean and simple can really be a blessing. The inspriation for this card started with the scrap of Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper. I knew I wanted to use the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set and then I poked around in the Neutrals Designer Buttons and voila! A card is born. This layout isn't included in my Super Seven Card Layout Guide, but it is an easy one to adapt.
For this layout you want to cut the front of the card in half. Then create a square or rectangle that is about 3" wide. When you align the right side of the square or rectangle (in this case the tree) with the right side of the card, you shoul have enough overlap to steady the card, but enough of a gap to add accessories. In this case I chose to add the Neutral Designer Buttons.
The other great tip about making this card is to make a few. Then the next time you need a quick sympathy card – you are ready!
