Happy Monday! This week I'm highlighting the Moving Forward stamp set. We will be using this at Card Class this month and you should have lots of ideas by Friday on how you can use this set and help some worthy families along the way.

For the card I used a simple half sheet of whisper white. The polka dots in the boat are what caught my eye so I decided to carry them throughout the card. I was also watching the Olympics while making this card, so I guess I was feeling a little patriotic. That explains the red, white and blue combo.
For the sailboat I stamped it in Marina Mist. As much as I love the new stamp pads, I just couldn't get a clean image of the polka dots at the base of the boat. I decided to duplicate them and add a little more red and white. I punched a small scoop out using the 1 3/4" circle punch and Riding Hood Red cardstock. Then I just free-hand replicated the polka dots using a white gel pen.
Then I layered that on a square of Marina Mist and corner rounded the upper right and lower left corners.
For the next layer I used a 4" by 2" piece of Riding Hood Red cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder. I attached a small piece of Marina Mist 1/8" Satin Ribbon and layered it on the card.
The final layer is the Marina Mist piece of Polka Dot Parade DSP. I cut this to 4" by 2" to add symetry to the card. I also corner rounded diagonal corners just like the sailboat's mat and Riding Hood Red.
