Blog20070109_copy I have always enjoyed clear embossing.  One of my first SU Conventions I did a swap using clear embossing and got lots of compliments on it.  That's when I knew I had found a technique that my math mind could create that looked really artistic.

This card uses Pretty In Pink card as its base.  I layered a square of Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper after I colored each flower with the Versamarker and clear embossed them.  I've included a picture here that better illustrates this.Blog20070109a You can see in the lower picture that the flowers on the background paper are embossed and so is the center flower.  I don't have Rose Red embossing powder and I don't have Rose Red Craft Ink, but I do have the classic pad and the Versamark pad.  When you combine the latter you are once again able to clear emboss.  Be sure to ink in the Versamark FIRST and then the colored ink – otherwise your Versamark will be a mess!

As for the center of the card…I started with a layer of Pretty in Pink and put Rose Red on top of that.  The image is embossed on Whisper White and includes a pink Fire Rhinestone Brad in the center.

I hope you've been enjoying these samples and looking through the new catalog.  Leave me a comment and let me know what else you'd like to see.  Be sure to add yourself to my mailing list too so you don't miss out on other great stamping ideas and special that might not be listed here.  Use the Get My Newsletter to add yourself.
