One of my customers wanted to use the baby card pictured on page 62 of the Annual Catalog as the pattern for a baby announcement and thank yous she would be making for a family member. We worked together on her order as she was just using the pattern of the card and changing all the stamps, papers and colors. She lives locally so when she came to pick up her order I included a birthday card using the pattern she wanted to copy just to help her get started and give her something more than a picture for inspiration.
This is the picture of the card in the catalog on page 62:
This is the card I gave her for her pattern:
Here is another view that shows the insert:
If you'd like to create this card yourself, here is what you can do! The base of the card is a 4 1/4" by 11" piece of cardstock. In this case, Summer Starfruit. This piece is scored at 1 1/4" from the top and 5 1/2" using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Fold the card in half and then fold the smaller score back. For a little added detail I used the corner rounder on the top two corners and the bottom corners of the folded flap.
The next layer is the cupcake paper from Patio Party Designer Series Paper. That piece is 4" by 4". This is a nice size as you get to see a lot of the detail of the paper and you can cut 9 pieces this size from one 12" by 12" sheet. I corner rounded the bottom two corners. No need to do the top as they are hidden under the flap.
To secure the card I wrapped a piece of Midnight Muse Satin Ribbon around the whole card and tied a not. You can make a pretty bow, but as many of you know I'm not to good at that.
For the insert you start with a coordinating piece of 5 1/4" by 4" cardstock. I used the Summer Starfruit again. Then I layered it with a piece of white measuring 3 3/4" by 5". I stamped "Happy Birthday" on this layer way at the top so it would show even when the insert was pushed all the way in.
Here is one final view of the card:
