Happy Monday! This is a super easy card using some very basic stamping. I chose this card today from the Mojo Monday sketch. I've been having a great time with the Kind Koala single stamp. He is so cute that you can just stamp him straight up like I did in this card and he still gives you a smile!
I had a great time at the first Scrap-a-Way Retreat of the season – spending 48 hours with scrap-bookers was fantastic! Many of them had dabbled in stamping, but were very curious about basic stamping skills. That was another inspiration for this card. A little paper, a little card stock, a little punching and a quick embellishment – voila!
More than one scrapper at the retreat asked about getting a clear crisp image. Do you have an answer to that question? Here is mine:
“The rubber in the stamp is responsible for shaping the ink. If you push too hard on the stamp you can distort the shape of the ink or add stray marks you didn't want. Since paper (or card stock) is porous like fabric, you need to give it time to absorb the ink in the shape you want. Steady, even pressure on a stamp for a few seconds (count to 3 slowly or 6 if you count fast) should get the job done”
