Card Sketch 10!  This layout using four skinny scraps is our tenth sketch!  I'm super excited to share all the details about this with you today.  BUT you need to know that in next Tuesday's email I will be including a FREE download with all 10 sketches.  The download will also link to the post where I show you how to use the sketch.  Be sure you are on my email list before Tuesday, July 1, 2025 and you'll get this free download.

OK – now let's talk about this cute sketch.

The Card

Here's the card we're making today.  First I'll share how I made this card (along with the dimensions) and then I'll give you some options to maximize using this sketch.

Let's Make It

Here's the step-by-step for how I made this exact card:

  1. Die emboss the Basic White layer with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, then glue this to the card base
  2. Glue the four scraps to the Garden Green layer
  3. Glue the layer from Step 2 to the die embossed layer
  4. Stamp the greeting on the Basic White rectangle
  5. Add greeting layer to card with Stampin' Dimensionals
  6. Add a purple Rainbow Dot to the “i” in BIRTHDAY plus a few more on the scraps

Here's a closer look so you can see the purple dots and dimension under the greeting more easily.

Here's a quick rundown of the measurements for each paper and card stock.

  • Background Layer – 5″ x 4″
  • Mat for Paper Strips – 4 3/8″ x 3 1/2″
  • Paper Strips – 4″ x 3/4″

More Sketch Ideas

As promised at the beginning of the post – here are seven ways to change up this sketch:

  1. Use a different shape for the greeting (circle, oval or square)
  2. Canter the greeting on the paper scrap layer
  3. Use colored card stock as the first layer
  4. Use patterned paper as the first layer
  5. Use embossed card stock scraps for the skinny layers
  6. Use coordinating card stock colors for the skinny layers
  7. Skip the “bling” for a guy card
