clean and simple quick card with cheerful daisies

For our first card in August let's start with a clean and simple quick card with Cheerful Daisies.  Now I do love all the dies that come in the bundle with this stamp set, but the stamps themselves are really stunning on their own.  I've found myself creating lots of greeting only cards and wanted to share one with more.  What do I mean by that?  I mean cards where only the greeting is stamped and the rest of the charm and character comes from the materials used, how they are cut or embossed and the accessories.

Color Selection

For this card we've paired Wild Wheat with black and white.  I think when you pair any color with black and white you really see what tone it sets for the card.  For me Wild Wheat gives just enough pop without being overstated.  It also works for just about any occasion for anyone.

I've been working more and more with the new In Colors for this year and they are definitely growing on me.  When I first saw them I though – huh?  Last year's were so fun and vibrant and these are the exact opposite.  But then I started seeing them everywhere – Target, Zara and even local furniture stores.  I realized once again Stampin' Up! was spot on with their color selections.  More than that I also saw the value in these colors inserting themselves with so many other colors in the primary 40.
