This card fills the masculine card bill right out of the gate.  Notice the color pallet lacks pinks and purples?  No bling or ribbon either!  This card came together quick and easy once I decided to use the Flashback Designer Series Paper as my color palette.  I’m super sad to see the What’s Up punches go – they are so great to draw attention where you want it no matter what you’re making.
The Fitting Occasion stamp set is also on its way out.  You can cover your entire array of stamping needs with just this one stamp set alone – be sure you grab it before it’s gone.  This set is made to layer with our many circle punches – none of which, I’m happy to say, are leaving us this year!
To start the card I used a half sheet of Pool Party folded hamburger style.  Then I layered the black and arrowed patterns over that to make them stretch to 4 /18” by 5 3/8”.  Then I layered a ¼” strip of Crushed Curry card stock between the papers just to hide the seam.  If I wasn’t so concerned with keeping to the masculine theme this would be a great place to put some ribbon.
If you’d like to see a sample using ribbon in the spot with the same layout be sure to Sign Up to Receive My Newsletter. I will be sending it out a 2pm tomorrow (ET).  This week includes a card using the same layout and other retiring products.  That card is all girl, but only my email subscribers will get to check it out!
Continuing on with the layers… I added a square (3” by 3”) of the striped Crushed Curry pattern and tucked that under the polka dot pattern.  I had to mat the polka dot on another piece of Pool Party for it to “pop” just a little more.

For the final layers I used the 1 3/8”, 1 ¼” and 1” circle punches.   The smallest one with stamped with black and Pool Party ink on Very Vanilla.  To make sure there was no doubt where I wanted the recipient’s eye to go I punched out a black arrow and then jazzed it up with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.  This went on the card with dimensionals as did the stamped circle layers.
