My Stampin’ Up! Work in Progress

Do you ever have to leave a work in progress?  Sometimes that's a good thing because you come back refreshed and able to see with a clear view.  Sometimes not so much because you might be like me and come back to stamps, ink and paper all over the table.  What does your craft area look like when you're creating?  When I have a work in progress my table can be quite a mess.    Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I spend working in my home office.  Lots of non-stamping activities take place like emails, ordering and website work, but several hours a week are also spent creating samples for you here, email tutorials, team meetings and newsletters and cards to send to friends, family and customers.   Whew!  When you type it all out no wonder I climb in bed ready for a good night's sleep:)

Today is a creative day

Simple Thank You DIY Greeting Card

A simple thank you note still goes a long way.  It's so fun to get a card in the mail – and that doesn't happen often enough these days.  If you are a customer who places an order of any size or belongs to Paper Pumpkin you will receive a hand stamped thank you card from me each month.  The twist on these cards is that I usually write my little note on a post-it inside so you can pass the card on when you need to send a quick thank you.

Did you notice the nicely embossed white card stock?  I didn't lift a finger except to use my Stampin' Trimmer – love the Fancy Frost Designer Series Paper!  You can add the paper as is or use ink over to make it pop

Fall Thank You with Stampin’ Up! Petals & Paisley

This fall thank you with Stampin' Up! Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper arrived at customers homes who placed a recent order with me.  My next round of thank you's will be popped in the mail today!  You can look at THIS POST to see what's going in the mail next.  Why did I already post the card that's going out today and I'm just getting to this fall thank you with Stampin' Up! Petals & Paisleys?  Because I'm human and I goofed up the schedule.  But hey – it's Monday!  A new week begins and a new chance to get things right.

Fall Thank You with Stampin' Up! Petals & Paisley

The layered circles with the scallop behind the solid is a look you will see a lot this fall and winter.  I love how the new layered framelits allow for this

Stampin’ Up Vintage Leaves DIY Thank You Card

Stampin' Up! Vintage Leaves stamps create beautiful fall images.  I often get asked what rubber stamping is (I know hard to believe, right?) and why I enjoy doing it.  My answer is always some form of the following: “I've always loved being crafty, but I'm not much of an artist.  With rubber stamping much of the artwork is done for you in the rubber and  you just ink, stamp and voila!”  And, between you and me, I love how my math-mind works so well with this craft.  My clean and simple style is all about balance and symetry which my mind can easily wrap around.  How about you?  What's your style?  Let me know what your last Thank You card looked like!

Ok, let's talk about today's card.  For this card I drew inspiration from the Global Design Project's weekly sketch.  If

Stampin’ Up! Scenic Sayings make Quick and Easy Cards

Stampin' Up! Scenic Sayings is a great stamp set to make quick and easy cards.  For this card the Thank You from the set is paired with the Bokeh style designer series paper from the stack Serene Scenery.

Not sure what the Bokeh technique is?  Watch this video from last winter to find out!

The finished card measures 3 1/2″ by 5″ and fits nicely in the envelopes from the Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes.  Of course Stampin' Up! sells these envelopes with cards, but when you have a few stamping “oops” you end up with more envelopes than cards.

Besides helping your eye focus on the beautiful paper – I used the layer of Old Olive card stock so that I got them most out of my cuts of this paper stack.  The paper measures

Beautiful Butterfly DIY Greeting Card

Happy Hump Day! No more winter blues – springtime colors all the way! The weather is feeling so springy here in the northeast – this seemed like just the card to share today! This card has LOTS of products – it's definitely a card for someone special. You could call the style what you like but my term is Kitchen Sink – everything but the “kitchen sink” is added to this card.

It was a lot of fun to make this card – pulling from this drawer and that shelf and then combining it all. Sometimes it's nice to make a card (or two or ten) and not have to do all the thinking. That's where Paper Pumpkin is a life saver! Everything is packaged in one box to make what you need. No
