Halloween DIY Sour Cream Containers

Making bunches of Halloween DIY sour cream containers went super fast!  I'm very excited to send these to Tuscaloosa for Halloween.  They've been stuffed with candy and wrapped up so they can easily be delivered to my kids friends'.  Halloween DIY sour cream containers

Why is this called a “sour cream container”?  This packaging was designed after the single serve sour cream containers that were popular before squirt bottles became cheap enough to buy for buffet-style serving.  Here is a picture of one they have used at Disney properties:

All you need to begin making these Halloween DIY sour cream containers is a square of designer series paper or card stock.  Then follow this simple diagram:

Mini Treat Bag Die on Sale!

gift-bag-punch-die

The Mini Treat Bag Die is on sale this week in the LAST round of Weekly Deals.  These bags are so easy to put together AND the die set comes with lots of extras like the “for you” greeting on this bag tag.

This project also shows off one of the unique Occasions Catalog Designer Series Papers.  The Shine on Specialty paper is heavy paper, matches the craft color and has silver designs on one side and color designs on the other.  The coordinating colors are Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder.

You can get two of these projects from one piece of 12 by 12 paper.  The Mini Treat Bag Die only uses a 6″ by 6″ square piece and a 6″ by 3″ piece of paper.  This allowed me to punch the tag from the scraps left behind.  The tag

TBT Big Shot Dies and Vinyl

Stampin Up no longer carries the vinyl or letter dies used in this project, but I just had to share Jay and his friends' mortar boards (grad hats). The vinyl I used was peel and stick which made it very easy to put together.

Are there other products that have retired you wish you had? I'm hosting my Annual Garage Sale this Saturday, June 20 from 8AM – 2PM. If you live local to Trumbull, CT (06611) you should stop by to shop my deals. I have some plans for items that are not purchased on Saturday so if you live far away stay tuned!

Quick and Easy DIY Gift Card Holder

gift-card-holder-flat

A dozen in just 30 minutes – stuffed and ready to distribute!  The new Gift Card Holder Framelit makes this possible.  I had to make a dozen of these and as usual put it off until the last minute.  Well, truth be told I needed them by dinnertime and was finished before lunch, but I knew about it for quite awhile.  Trumbull High School held their 9th Annual Underage Drinking Forum last week and one of my jobs was to create gift card holders for the gift cards we give to all the presenters.

I think this is one handy tool that I will hold onto long after it retires.  All you need is piece of 7 1/4″ by 6 1/2″ paper (card stock, designer

Wreath Kit: Burlap and Blooms

order craft supplies online,stampin up

This wreath was so fun and quick to get together!  You can purchase this from the Occasions Catalog and be all ready when the warm weather hits.  In the Northeast we aren't there yet – but I'm still hoping!  It took me about 2 hours to put this together and I really didn't take a break.  I used Mini Glue Dots and a glue gun to get it together.

QUICK TIP:  If I were to do another one of these the only change I would make would be the larger petal flowers that you put together with individual petals.  Can you see how mine look more like tea cups?  I'm fine with that, but if you want yours to
