My Stampin’ Up! Work in Progress

Do you ever have to leave a work in progress?  Sometimes that's a good thing because you come back refreshed and able to see with a clear view.  Sometimes not so much because you might be like me and come back to stamps, ink and paper all over the table.  What does your craft area look like when you're creating?  When I have a work in progress my table can be quite a mess.    Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I spend working in my home office.  Lots of non-stamping activities take place like emails, ordering and website work, but several hours a week are also spent creating samples for you here, email tutorials, team meetings and newsletters and cards to send to friends, family and customers.   Whew!  When you type it all out no wonder I climb in bed ready for a good night's sleep:)

Today is a creative day

Memories and More with Stampin’ Up!

The new Memories and More product line from Stampin' Up! makes scrapbooking quick, easy and fun!  Are you like me and there are a LOT of photos on your phone, on your computer and even stored in boxes from the “old days” before digital?  I have decided that 2017 is going to be the year I start catching up.  I'm not going to boldly profess that I will be “all caught up”, but I'm committed to scrapbooking the last three years in this new format.  If you'd like to join my journey leave a comment and let me know.

Need to see more about Memories and More before you jump in with me?  Here is a quick video from Stampin' Up! showing you how to use the cards, books and page protectors:

My first venture into this way of scrapbooking with be with Taryn's graduation.

Marbled Background Guy Birthday Card

Using the Marbled Background makes guy cards in a snap!  This new addition to the Annual Catalog caught my eye the first time I paged through the catalog.  Whether you use it with one color or many it makes a unique background every time.

I will add that another essential to using this Marbled Background is our Stampin' Scrub.  You'll want a fresh stamp when you change colors to get a background like you see here.  For this background I wanted both colors (Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist) to pop!  First I stamped with the Lemon Lime Twist then cleaned off the stamp.

Next I stamped with the Dapper Denim – but here's the trick!  When I stamped with the Lemon Lime Twist I placed the card front near the upper left corner of the stamp.  The

Ribbon of Courage from Success Ink Team Meeting

We had a great time at our Success Ink Team meeting a week ago.  One of the projects shared was a pretty card using new colors, new accessories and the all-new Ribbon of Courage stamp set and framelits.  We chatted about the new colors, what we liked best from the new catalog and tossed around some customer service ideas.  Of course, there were Prize Patrols and swaps too!  All of this happened on our team Facebook page.  That meant everyone could participate wherever they were.  We had one team member start on her phone as she was finishing errands and then continue at home when she was settled.  For those who missed the meeting completely, it’s still available on our team page – even the video of the LIVE portion of the meeting.

During the LIVE portion of the meeting I demonstrated

How to Organize Your Days and Memories

Have you noticed that loving to organize your days and memories and paper crafting go hand in hand?  In my 20+ years paper crafting I can probably count on one hand the number of people who love to paper craft and don't love to organize.  Now I'm not saying that crafty people are super organized – myself included.  What I have found is that you have a sincere love of finding ways to organize your days and memories.  I bet if you are on pinterest you even have boards dedicated to organizing.

Organize Your Days and Memories

Stampin' Up! took a long time to come out with a new planner.  They've had a handful over the years and most of the time they were just for demonstrators.  Not anymore!  With
