quick and easy, stampin up, mojo385

If you’ve followed me for awhile you know how much Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper gets used in my cards and projects.  That said, I don’t like to waste any if I can help it.  This sketch (shown below) inspired me to pull out the folder of scraps from my Birthday Bash DSP.  I keep a clear folder in the same slot as each of my paper packs (thanks Mary for the great tip).  This way I can see if I have some scraps that will fit the bill before I start cutting those precious 12 by 12 sheets.

The Mojo Monday Sketch was my inspiration for this card layout and the colors in the Birthday Bash DSP were the inspiration for the color pallet.

As you can see I mixed up the sketch a little, but kept the gist of it.  I have to say cutting that diagonal piece gave my math brain the most trouble.  Once I decided I wanted it 1 1/2″ thick and to stretch the width of the 4″ of the card it got a little easier.

I have been having fun decorating the inside of my cards too.  For this card I carried the Triangle Embossing Folder on the bottom of the inside liner.
